    Description

    Maintenance Technician Role

    Maintenance Techs at Opal Sands Resort will be responsible for all upkeep and repair duties, including identifying the need for repairs, responding to guests' maintenance requests, and servicing company equipment. To be an effective Maintenance Tech, the candidate needs to possess skilled, hard-working qualities and outstanding problem-solving abilities, with physical stamina and strong technical knowledge.

    Responsibilities:

    • Perform basic maintenance tasks: painting, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, pool & spa minor repairs, and other related duties.
    • Troubleshoot and repair company machinery, equipment, or appliances in a timely manner.
    • Conduct regular property inspections: make note of items in need of attention while walking throughout the property.
    • Respond promptly: address guest room calls/maintenance calls in a timely and professional manner.
    • Maintain storage areas: keep all maintenance storage areas neat and clean, adhering to safety standards.
    • Active inventory control participant: participate in inventory control processes to ensure accurate stock levels.

    Qualifications:

    • High School diploma or equivalent required: candidates must possess a high school diploma or equivalent qualification.
    • Minimum 2 years working experience: applicants should have a minimum of 2 years working experience in a similar role.
    • Excellent organizational skills: highly organized individuals with good communication skills are preferred.
    • Detailed oriented and problem-solver: candidates must be detail-oriented with an aptitude for problem-solving.
    • Team player: the ability to work collaboratively as part of a team is essential.
