    Description
    General Description:

    The Human Resources Assistant (Front Desk) is responsible for the administrative support of the day-to-day Human Resources operations of the HR Department.

    Essential Functions:

    1. Data entry and file maintenance.
    2. Responsible for maintenance of confidential HR files and personnel action forms.
    3. Greets applicants, managers and others visiting the department directing them to the appropriate staff member.
    4. Answers the telephone, makes necessary appointments as appropriate and distributes the daily mail.
    5. Coordinates and completes the caregiver fingerprint process efficiently and reports timely to the appropriate reporting agency.
    6. Monitors and maintains GRMC's Caregiver driving requirements database.
    7. Assigns caregiver ID Badges and monitors the system (maintenance of the badge system)
    8. Assists with the on-boarding and off-boarding process
    9. Maintains the organization's performance evaluation process
    10. Assists in the interpretation of HR Policies and Procedures when appropriate.
    11. Orders and maintains departmental supplies i.e. office supplies, adequate stock of HR Forms and other departmental items.
    12. Provides assistance to management and the HR Staff and others on special projects as needed.
    13. Performs other duties as assigned by the HR Director/HR Manager.
    Education & Training Requirements:
    1. High School Diploma/GED. College coursework preferred.
    2. Proficient typing and computer skills.
    3. Excellent customer service skills in dealing with management, staff and the public.
    4. Minimum of three (3) years office/secretarial experience with public contact (human resource administration experience preferred.
