Job summary
The Crisis Specialist conducts mental health crisis assessments at the local hospital and in the community and operates as part of an interdisciplinary team at Options Crisis Resolution Center (CRC). The CRC provides short term respite and mental health stabilization to adults. This position involves diagnostic assessments, formulating diagnoses, screening patients for a mental health hold, offering respite or diversion from hospitalization to Option's inpatient program, developing safety plans with patients and their significant others, responding to requests for mental health screenings in the community and determining next steps for care.Responsibilities include providing clinical recovery-focused services to clients with mental illness and co-occurring disorders in individual and group settings. Collaborates with client and treatment team in development of individual treatment plan.
