    Monday - Friday, 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM


    FLSA Status: Non-Exempt


    PRIMARY PURPOSE:


    Housby is looking for a motivated IT Support Specialist to join our team This position is responsible for providing technical assistance and support related to computer systems, hardware, and software.

    This role is also responsible for monitoring and responding to help desk tickets regarding basic technical issues. This position is the first line of support for Housby Mack, Housby Heavy Equipment, and Housby Online Sales

    EXPECTATIONS:

    Essential Duties include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

    Provide technical assistance and support for incoming queries and issues related to computer systems, software, and hardware.

    Respond to queries via help desk, email, in person or over the phone.

    Perform remote troubleshooting through diagnostic techniques.

    Determine the best solution based on the issue and details provided by the internal customer.

    Walk employees through the problem-solving process.

    Direct unresolved issues to the next level of support personnel.

    Ask appropriate questions to determine the nature of problem.

    Install, modify, and repair computer hardware and software.

    Clean up computers and Technology Closet(s), as needed.

    Run diagnostic programs to resolve problems.

    Follow-up and update employee's status and information.

    Pass on any feedback or suggestions by employees to IT Manager.

    Identify and suggest possible improvements on internal procedures.

    Maintain a professional image at all times.

    Follow the Company's safety rules and policies.


    SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:

    Tech savvy with working knowledge of office automation products, databases, and remote control.

    Good understanding of computer systems, mobile devices, and other technology products.

    Ability to diagnose and resolve basic technical issues.

    Proficiency in English

    Excellent communication skills.

    Customer-oriented and patient.

    Excellent ability to work with employees who have all levels of computer knowledge and experience.


    PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

    Oral communication over the phone and in person.

    Ability to view a computer monitor.

    Sitting and standing for extended periods of time.

    Alpha/numeric keyboarding.

    Ability to move and set up computer and network hardware including working on the ground and under desks.


    WORK ENVIRONMENT:

    The work environment for this position is varied due to the differences in our work site.

    While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts, fumes or airborne particles, toxic, and outside weather conditions.

    The noise level in the work environment is usually low to moderate.


    EDUCATION:

    Bachelor's or Associates Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field highly preferred or comparable experience.
