Job Description:
This position coordinates the administration of the Medically Handicapped Children's Program throughout the state; grant and contract development and management; budget monitoring and planning; development of program policies, procedures, and evaluation; on-going program quality assurance and monitoring; outreach and technical support to various entities; ensures compliance with state and federal regulations; provides training; research and writes required plans, grants, and proposals; and maintains internal databases and resources.
The Medically Handicapped Children's Program includes three sub-programs, the Medically Handicapped Children's Program, the Genetically Handicapped Persons Program, and the Disabled Children's Program.
As a program meant to support individuals and families with special healthcare needs and their families, this program works in coordination with the DHHS Title V - Maternal and Child Health Block Grant through statewide programming and support for children and youth with special healthcare needs.
