    Job Description

    The Computer Consultant II for Health & Wellness will provide primary technical support, system administration and maintenance for all departments in Barnes Center Health & Wellness group. In addition to day-to-day responsibilities, this individual will be responsible for planning, coordination and implementation of all technology projects, act as the primary security and privacy administrator for all technology, develop and conduct training for all departments in that group. In collaboration with the Barnes Center Health Application Specialist, maintain existing systems and enhance services and operations through the use of new technology. Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • Three plus years of experience in IT support and system administration, preferably in a health-related field, is required.
  • Job Specific Qualifications
  • The ideal candidate will have considerable experience developing, implementing, and supporting technological solutions for a wide variety of IT challenges.
  • Candidates should have significant experience in servicing clients and working with administrative and business software tools, preferably in a health-related field.
  • Knowledge of the systems (e.g. EHR, Pharmacy systems) and technology (e.g. laptops, printers, lab equipment) used in a healthcare or counseling-related environment is highly preferred.
  • Experience dealing with the regulations and privacy practices associated with the health, counseling or higher education fields (e.g. HIPAA, FERPA) would be a significant benefit.
  • Responsibilities
  • Provide primary technical support for all departments in the Barnes Center Health & Wellness group.
  • Maintain and administer all information systems and servers required to support the operations of the Health & Wellness group within Barnes Center.
  • Plan, coordinate and implement technology projects that support the goals and objectives of those departments.
  • Plan, implement and monitor compliance with security, privacy, and regulatory guidelines and regulations such as HIPAA, FERPA.
  • Oversee the IT portion of certification processes for Barnes Health and Barnes Counseling.
  • Develop and conduct training specifically designed for Health & Wellness staff in Barnes Center.
