    Adventist Health is seeking a Surgical Technician for a job in Hanford, California.

    Adventist Health Hanford, is one of four medical centers that forms Adventist Health in the Central Valley. This medical center serves the communities of Kings County.

    It provides the following care services:

    cancer, diabetes, emergency, cardiac catheterization lab, stroke, inpatient and outpatient surgery, orthopedics, and birthing services which includes a neonatal intensive care unit in partnership with Valley Children's Hospital.

    Adventist Health Hanford serves the community with 600 physicians, 3,300 associates, and 16 medical residents.
    Assists the surgical team in the preparation of surgical procedures in the operating room.

    Prepares surgical cases by creating and maintaining a sterile field, retracting and passing instruments, supplies and medications to surgeons during cases.


    Education and Work Experience:

    Operating room experience and/or training course: Surgery Technician certification: Completion of Surgery Technician program: Please attach a copy of Surgical Certificate/Transcript to application.

    Prepares for each surgical case by accurately checking required supplies and equipment prior to case. Assembles appropriate supplies/equipment prior to operative procedures. Reviews equipment inventory for specialty as assigned. Sets up operative instrumentation/sterile field for expedient retrieval/utilization.
    Collects data on assigned surgical cases by the unit based Performance Standards of Care. Cleans equipment and facilities as necessary. Performs housekeeping duties as requested.
    Transports patients according to unit schedules and priorities. Provides clerical duties.
    Sets up/maintains neat and orderly sterile field demonstrating careful attention to aseptic technique. Adventist Health is committed to the safety and wellbeing of our associates and patients.
