    We are looking for a Director of Housekeeping that will manage, direct and ensure the smooth and efficient operation of the Housekeeping department and provide all guests with quality service, clean and safe environment throughout their stay, while managing all housekeeping operations and departmental expenses.

    ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Develop short and long-range departmental objectives.
    • Prepare annual departmental budget and provide supporting documentation when necessary.
      Prepare justification for budget variations and projected increases for new projects.
    • Oversee the operations the housekeeping department to ensure it meets company standards.
    • Evaluate employee performance and overall efficiency, providing immediate feedback to improve overall levels of productivity
    • Work closely with department supervisors/managers to identify/resolve inefficient operations.
    • Responsible for overall interviewing, hiring, scheduling, and payroll.
    • Able to communicate effectively and address concerns with department staff, including anticipating, preventing, identifying and solving problems as necessary.
    • Be able to effectively listen to, understanding and clarifying concerns and issues raised by the team members and guests and ensure a successful resolution.
    • Will ensure housekeeping staff is aware and follows proper safety standards and is familiar with emergency procedures to direct and provide guidance accordingly.
    • Be able to prioritize departmental functions and assign work to department staff to meet due dates and deadlines.
    • Be able to collaborate with other department leaders and supervisors and members
    • Must be able to multi-task and plan work for the day, week and month for the department
    • Lead by example and adhere to Tuscany policies and standards and ensure department staff adheres as well.
    • Provide directions, instructions and makes decisions to ensure a smooth operation of department functions.
    • Must, at all times be attentive, friendly, helpful and courteous to all guests and team members.
    • Will ensure adequate supplies and materials are in stock and the department is operating according to the budget.
    • Able to handle stressful situations in a calm professional manner and exhibit a good judgment.
    • Perform any and all other duties as needed.
    • Must be able to work in an environment with exposure to secondhand smoke and high noise levels.

    EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

    • A Bachelor's/Associate degree in Hotel/Business Administration, related field, or equivalent experience
    • At least 5 years of experience in hotel housekeeping management.
    • Candidate must exhibit strong motivational and developmental skills.
    • Must be extremely flexible and have the ability to manage multiple projects with strong attention to detail.
    • Effectively communicate in English, both written and oral form
    • Preferred bilingual Spanish-English
    • Position requires availability for evenings, weekends, holidays and special events.
