Job Summary:
The Houseperson/Public Space at SpringHill Suites Cheraw is a full-time, hourly hospitality/restaurant position located in Cheraw, South Carolina. This individual contributor role is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and upkeep of all public areas within the hotel. This includes the lobby, restrooms, meeting rooms, fitness center, and pool areas. The Houseperson/Public Space will also assist with any guest needs and provide exceptional customer service.


Compensation & Benefits:
The Houseperson/Public Space position offers a competitive hourly pay rate of $10 to $13 per hour, paid biweekly. Employees are also eligible for benefits such as health insurance, paid time off, and employee discounts at Marriott properties.


Responsibilities:

• Maintain the cleanliness and organization of all public areas, including the lobby, restrooms, meeting rooms, fitness center, and pool areas
• Vacuum, mop, and dust all public spaces
• Clean and restock public restrooms
• Empty and dispose of trash and recycling from all public areas
• Assist with setting up and breaking down meeting rooms and event spaces
• Monitor and clean the fitness center and pool areas
• Respond promptly to guest requests and provide exceptional customer service
• Report any maintenance issues to the appropriate department
• Follow all safety and sanitation standards to ensure a clean and safe environment for guests and employees
• Assist with other tasks and projects as assigned by management

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Previous experience in housekeeping or janitorial work preferred
• Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask
• Excellent customer service and communication skills
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays
• Must be able to stand, walk, and lift up to 50 pounds for extended periods of time
• Knowledge of safety and sanitation standards
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
