My client is a family-owned glazing company for the past 9 years based in Pomona, CA, dedicated to delivering exceptional glazing solutions to clients.

With a commitment to quality and customer satisfaction, they have built a strong reputation in the industry. They are currently seeking a skilled and experienced Glazing Estimator/PM to head up the estimating department. This person will be the only Estimator and heavily relied on by the Owner who drives in new business.


Location: Pomona, CA (Hybrid work from home opportunity)


Salary: Flexible, upwards of $110,000 - $150,000 per year, depending on experience

Job Description:


Responsibilities:

• Prepare accurate and timely cost estimates for glazing projects, including materials, labor, equipment, and subcontractor services
• Review project specifications, drawings, and blueprints to determine project requirements and scope
• Collaborate with architects, engineers, and project managers to understand project objectives and provide costeffective solutions
• Solicit and analyze subcontractor and supplier bids to ensure competitive pricing and quality standards
• Prepare detailed takeoffs and quantity surveys to accurately estimate material quantities and costs
• Develop and maintain relationships with subcontractors, suppliers, and vendors to secure competitive pricing and favorable terms
• Prepare and present cost estimates to clients and participate in bid meetings and negotiations
• Track and monitor project costs throughout the project lifecycle and provide regular updates to project teams
• Assist in value engineering efforts to optimize project costs without compromising quality or performance
• Maintain accurate records of project estimates, bids, and related documentation

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 35 years of experience estimating for glazing projects.
• Proficiency in estimating software (e.g., True Construction) preferred but not required
• Strong knowledge of glazing materials, systems, and installation methods
• Excellent analytical and mathematical skills with attention to detail
• Strong communication and negotiation skills
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fastpaced environment
