    Job Description

    American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Pediatric Critical Care Float Pool position requiring a minimum of 2 years of Peds ICU experience and an active SC or Compact RN license.

    Responsibilities
    13-week contract at a pediatric hospital
    Pediatric Critical Care Float Pool covering multiple units including CVPICU, NICU, and PICU
    Patient ratio of 1:2 to 1:3
    Night shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts, 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM, 36 hours/week
    Every other weekend required with holiday rotation
    Floating required to all pediatric units within the children's hospital
    Epic EMR (experience not specified as required)
    First-time travelers are welcome to apply provided they meet the required experience
    Previous permanent or PRN staff at any MUSC location must have been separated from the system for at least 1 year before being eligible to work as a traveler
    Non-local candidates are prioritized; local candidates (within 60 miles) are considered on a case-by-case basis
    Candidates residing within 60 miles of the facility are considered local
    Block scheduling may be requested and is subject to manager approval based on unit needs
    All RTO must be submitted at the time of consideration and is subject to unit needs approval
    Pre-start online modules are required to be completed before the assignment begins
    Travelers should be aware that during hurricane season (June–November), all staff and contractors may be assigned to emergency response teams; peak activity months are August and September

    Requirements
    Active SC or Compact/Multi-State RN license; candidates with a pending SC license may be considered but must be active prior to start

    Current AHA certifications required:
    BLS and PALS
    Minimum 2 years of Peds ICU experience required
    SSN and Driver's License required for consideration
    2 professional references from a supervisor within the past 2 years required for consideration
    ECMO and CRRT experience preferred
