Baton Rouge Community College (BRCC) seeks to fill the position of Assistant Director of Financial Aid. The Assistant Director of Financial Aid is located in the Department of Student Development Services. This is a full-time position. Applications will be reviewed until the position is filled.

Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree or higher.
Experience with Title IV funding processes and/or knowledge of automated financial aid systems.
Must possess a strong customer service orientation and excellent organizational, written and oral communication skills.
Must have three years of progressive financial aid experience.
Job Concepts
Examples of Work:
Assists the Director of Financial Services and Compliance in the development of initiatives for the efficient delivery of financial aid from all sources that align with the Colleges Strategic Enrollment Management Plan.
Supervises and trains financial aid staff members to include Financial Aid Counselors, clerical support staff, and student assistants.
Ensures proper procedures are followed concerning data management, file maintenance, and confidentiality.
Make sound independent decisions where professional judgment is required, while maintaining compliance with regulatory guidelines
Develops and implements departmental policies and procedures as related to financial aid administration.
Requires contact with administrators, staff, faculty, students, parents, private and governmental agencies, and auditors.
Will work with all facets of financial aid to include, but not limited to awarding and counseling, student packaging, compliance, verification, grants, and scholarships.
Package and award Title IV funding in accordance with federal regulations.
Responsible for reconciling financial reports to federal and college accounting systems.
Prepares reports required by granting agencies and reconciles Federal, State, and Institutional Programs.
Competent use of automated financial aid systems relative to Title IV, EDE, and NSLDS. Manage EDConnect and dataload process.
Performs daily financial aid processes using BANNER 9.
Performs other duties as assigned.
