- Conduct developmental screenings and assessments to identify strengths, areas of concern, and developmental delays in infants and young children. (familiarity with DAYC a plus)
- Develop and implement individualized intervention plans tailored to the unique needs of each child, focusing on promoting development in areas such as cognitive, motor, communication, social-emotional, and adaptive skills.
- Provide direct services, including therapy sessions, play-based interventions, and parent education, to support infant and toddler development and enhance caregiver-child interactions.
- Collaborate with families, caregivers, and other professionals involved in the child's care to establish goals, monitor progress, and ensure continuity of services across settings.
- Offer guidance and support to families on strategies for fostering development and addressing challenges related to their child's growth and development.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of assessments, intervention plans, progress notes, and other documentation as required by regulatory standards and program policies.
- Stay current on research, best practices, and evidence-based interventions in the field of infant and early childhood development, and incorporate this knowledge into practice.
- Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings, case conferences, and professional development activities to collaborate with colleagues and enhance skills and knowledge.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in a related field such as Early Childhood Education, Child Development, Psychology, or Special Education.
- Previous experience working with infants, toddlers, and young children in early intervention, early childhood education, or related settings. (1 year minimum)
- Knowledge of infant and early childhood development, developmental milestones, and evidence-based practices for promoting optimal development.
- Strong assessment and intervention skills, including the ability to conduct developmental screenings, administer standardized assessments, and design individualized intervention plans.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to establish rapport with children, families, and colleagues from diverse backgrounds. (bilingual a plus)
- Understanding of family-centered practices and the ability to collaborate effectively with families and caregivers as partners in the intervention process.
- Commitment to cultural competence, equity, and inclusion in working with diverse families and communities.
- Certification or licensure as required by state regulations (Teacher's permit a must)
