    Trusted is seeking an experienced nurse for this exciting travel nursing assignment.

    Trusted has streamlined the travel nursing experience by enabling nurses to apply directly to jobs without the need for recruiters.


    Shift:
    7:00 PM - 7:00 AM
    24 months of Medical Surgical / Telemetry Unit experience is required.


    • 3 months of experience with Cerner is required.
    Candidates must have a Maine license or compact license in hand at the time of application.


    • Candidates must live at least 160 miles away from this facility in order to be eligible to apply for this role.
    • Flu vaccination required to apply. Medical declinations accepted.

    Candidates with a permanent Maine Address are NOT eligible for assignment at Eastern Maine Medical Center.
    Travelers will routinely work between Merritt 3 (48 beds) and Haskell 3 (10 meds both units are considered one large Med/Tele department on the same floor with private and semi-private rooms


    Vascular Surgeries:
    carotid endarterectomies, femoral endarterectomies, amputations, AAA repair, peripheral artery bypass grafts, fem-pop bypass

    Urology:
    General/GI: mastectomy, breast reduction; hemicolectomies, exploratory laps, bowel resection, cholecystectomy, colorectal surgeries; Plastics: muscle flaps, skin grafts

    Neurosurgery:
    spinal fusions, laminectomies, craniotomies


    Medical Overflow:
    CHF, Pneumonia, COVID, COPD, sepsis, cellulitis, GI Bleed, Chron's, Vascular Gangrene, ETOH withdrawal, IVDA, etc.
    All beds have remote Telemetry monitoring capabilities
    NO more than 6 days RTO (NO HOLIDAYS) is accepted at this time
    Telemetry experience (Cardiac rhythm interpretation) – will not transport patient on Tele but must be able to verify/interpret strips on the unit
    Ortho post-op (total joints, ORIF) experience is preferred, peripheral IV starts, tube feedings, TPN, Trach Care, Chest tubes, continuous bladder irrigation, drain management and removal (JP, Accordian), dressing changes, wound vacs
    Floating to any other unit to care for patients within or below scope of practice

    Weekend rotation:
    every other; occasionally back-to-back weekends – flexibility is key

    Holiday Expectations:
    no RTO requests at this time
