    Our client, a reputable construction company located in the West Suburbs, has a history of delivering outstanding projects, remarkable teamwork and significant growth. They are seeking a successful Project Manager to join their team due to an increased pipeline of projects for the next few years.     Their Project Portfolio most consist of Retail/Commercial projects. All of their work and projects are done throughout the Greater Chicago area. There is a trust system in place to allow for an autonomous work environment with hands off supervision.

    Responsibilities:

    The Construction Project Manager will oversee and direct retail and commercial projects from start to finish. They will direct and supervise the work of project administration staff and construction engineers and work in partnership with project superintendents to establish operational priorities. The Project Manager will also be responsible for forecasting, tracking/reporting project costs/revenue and ensuring adherence to project estimates. Additionally, they will be responsible for resolving any issues involving labor disputes, staffing, construction materials, construction equipment, and contracts/subcontracts administration.

    They will coordinate with the construction Safety Manager to ensure that projects are completed with established safety goals in mind, and develop strong relationships with superintendents, subcontractors, and assistant project managers. The Project Manager will also maintain appropriate documentation throughout the project.

    Minimum Requirements:

    • 5+ years of experience in Construction Project Management
    • Retail or commercial construction experience is required
    • Must be based in the Chicago area
    • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management or a related field is preferred
    • Knowledge of skilled trades including carpentry, masonry, concrete work, site excavation and grading, plumbing, fire protection, HVAC, and electrical.
    • Proficient in reviewing and understanding all construction documents including specifications and drawings
    • Excellent communication skills with various parties including management, subcontractors, consultants, architects, vendors, and clients.

    Compensation Package:

    • Base salary of $90,000 - $115,000, based on experience
