    Join Our Team as a Classroom Assistant Substitute at Alder Montessori School!

    Salary: $21.75 per hour

    About the Company:
    Join our team at Alder Montessori School located in the Reynolds School District. We are dedicated to providing a nurturing environment for children ages 3 to 5.

    Job Description:

    • Assist lead teacher and staff with general class supervision
    • Help with student activities, meals, and outdoor play
    • Assist with student arrivals and departures
    • Conduct light cleaning duties

    If you love teamwork, working with young children, and are interested in the Montessori approach but prefer a part-time role for now, we welcome you to join our team!

    Responsibilities:

    • Work alongside the teaching team in a supportive role
    • Participate in classroom activities for up to 25 children
    • Be an active learner and team player
    • Available for substitute shifts on short notice

    Requirements:

    • Prior experience with young children (employee, volunteer, or parent)
    • Compassionate communication skills
    • Ability to work well in a team environment
    • Preferably fluent in Spanish or other languages spoken by our students

    Physical Requirements:

    • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks
    • Ensure children's safety during activities
    • Comfortable working with children on the floor and leading outdoor activities

    Training and Benefits:

    • Training provided and compensated at $21.75 per hour
    • No additional employee benefits for temporary substitute positions

    Important Note: Successful candidates will undergo mandatory training and background checks as per Oregon regulations.
