What you'll do in the role:

Perform recurring procedures related to the month-end close process, including performing calculations and account reconciliation, preparing journal entries, and preparing financial reports.

Analyze monthly financial results, including investigation into budget/forecast vs. actual results.
Perform root-cause analysis to identify sources of errors and issues when encountered.

Design new controls and procedures to prevent errors and issues, including teaming with other members of Accounting as well as cross-functionally with FP&A, IT, and Operations teams.

Participate in annual budget process with FP&A.

Assist with various general accounting projects that may arise during the year such as accounting for business combinations and improving the efficiency and effectiveness of processes.

Coordinate and communicate with international team members on various accounting matters.
Support the consolidated global audit, international statutory audits, and income tax filings.
Perform various analysis in Microsoft Excel to respond to ad hoc requests from management.
Provide guidance and coaching to staff accountants and interns.
Review work prepared by staff accountants and interns.

What we're looking for:
2+ years of auditing/accounting experience.
Motivation to take ownership over all responsibilities and commitments.
Detail-oriented professional with strong analytical skills and comfort using Excel.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Experience with financial reporting projects, business combinations, or system integrations.
Experience performing audits or responding to audit requests.

Education:

Required:
Bachelor's degree in accounting.

Preferred:
CPA certification or interest in pursuing CPA.
