Job Description Job Description Overview:

The ideal candidate will have a background in manufacturing, with the knowledge and ability to effectively lead/manage within a small business environment.

The individual will have responsibilities in the areas of continuous improvement, cost reduction, sustaining engineering, and custom product design innovation for our existing products, as well as the development and implementation of new products and processes.

Requirements:

10+ years experience in a manufacturing facility, with demonstrated experience functioning in a design team environment, developing strong customer relations.

Candidate will have strong engineering and technical background in machinery design and development. Candidate will have strong understanding of Geo dimensioning and tolerancing. Candidate will have a strong manufacturing background which includes knowledge of machining, sheet metal fabrication, welding, assembly, etc.

Responsible for creating and developing requirements from Customer specifications and be able to plan and lead projects from concept to completion.

Must be able to organize, prioritize and manage multiple tasks and projects effectively Create design specifications and documentation of all aspects of design from concept to manufacturing prints.

Provide cost estimates based on Customer requirements and available time / resources.

Responsible for the development and creation of drawings and BOMs for each project, as well as the initial creation of quality / inspection documentation.

Must be proficient in Solid Works. Must be proficient with AutoCad Mechanical or equivalent. Plastics industry equipment manufacturing and R & D experience a plus.

Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering (Masters degree is a plus)Company Description For more than 75 years, Foremost Machine Builders, Inc.
