    A

    UNIX Service Administrator I/II/III

    is an intermediate position within OneNeck's Managed Services organization. The Service Administrators are a team of professionals that provide support for a variety of services offered by OneNeck. A Service Administrator I/II/III will have a strong understanding in the following areas.

    Unix/Linux Operating Systems and technologies including Red Hat, SUSE, Solaris, AIX, HPUX, etc.

    Experience with Storage platforms such as EMC, NetApp, Nimble, Oracle ZFS, etc.

    Experience with Virtualization platforms such as VMWare, Solaris, OVM, etc.

    Experience with enterprise workstation management toolsets, remote support and customer service

    Ability to create and follow documents that contain solid findings and recommendations that are user friendly and easily consumed by coworkers and management

    Familiar with Networking in relation to server environments

    Familiar with other Operating Systems such as Microsoft Windows


    A Service Administrator will work in a multi-disciplined department and will work with their peers and customers directly to deliver OneNeck services.

    They will also be responsible for creating and updating processes and procedures for their peers and our Service Desk techs to use for resolution of issues and completion of requests.

    Will follow a Change Management procedure for activities requiring changes to servers that are in scope of their responsibilities.


    The shift for this position is Sunday - Thursday 3pm - midnight AZ time

    We can hire this position as a UNIXService Administrator I, UNIXService Administrator II or UNIXService Administrator III. Requirements for each position are listed in the qualifications section. We will assess applicants based on skills set and years of relevant experiences.


    Responsibilities


    Break/Fix work on ticket from Be an escalation point for issues and requests that cannot be serviced by other groups, working issues to resolution, improving upon process, procedure, and knowledge to reduce future escalations.

    Execute planned maintenance according the Change Management guidelines

    Develop and enhance technical operating procedures and documentation to improve upon efficiency and effectiveness of operations and change activity.

    Identify and own problems and/or opportunities for improvement; working toward developing and deploying temporary and permanent fixes.

    Periodically construct and facilitate training with other groups in support of increasing capabilities, efficiencies, and effectiveness.

    Learn and incorporate new and exciting technologies related to OneNeck product offerings

    Qualifications
    Required Qualifications

    UNIXService Administrator I

    Associate's degree (or higher) OR 2+ years professional work experience.

    UNIXService Administrator II

    Associate's degree (or higher) OR 2+ years professional work experience.

    1+ years UNIX/Linux experience.

    UNIXService Administrator III

    Associate's degree (or higher) OR 2+ years professional work experience.

    2+ years UNIX/Linux experience.

    Other Qualifications

    ITIL V3 foundation certification preferred.

    Sound judgment and decision making skills.

    Advanced analytical, statistical, and problem solving skills.

    Strong commitment to customer satisfaction and quality.

    Results and execution oriented, self-motivated requiring minimal supervision.

    Advanced communication skills regarding project teams and management.

    Proficient with all Microsoft Office applications.
