    About this Job

    As an Application Engineer at Eridan you will be responsible for helping our customers understand how to use our products, which include both standalone Radio Units and transceiver subsystems. You will serve as a bridge between the needs of the customer and the capabilities and priorities of the engineering team. You'll play a critical role in helping us identify areas for product improvement, and prioritize them to maximize our success in winning customer opportunities.

    A successful Application Engineer will demonstrate excellent communication skills, creative, on-the-spot problem-solving, and the ability to remain calm and cheerful under pressure.

    As our Application Engineer, you will:

    • Lead product demonstrations with customers and answer technical questions about the product
    • Identify opportunities to improve our product based on customer feedback
    • Set the standard for careful data analysis, clear presentation of results, and documentation of performance and processes
    • Work with cross-functional hardware, software and system validation teams to resolve customer issues
    • Be the technical voice of the customer during product definition and validation

    Qualities of a Successful Candidate

    • BS or MS in Electrical Engineering
    • 3+ years hands-on experience with radio frequency electronics or microwave systems/components
    • Experience with 4G/5G wireless technologies
    • Solid foundation of comms theory and some knowledge of signal processing
    • Ability to write and debug software and scripts in 1 or more programming languages. For example C/C++/C#, Python, Matlab
    • Proficient with typical RF test equipment and measurements
    • Available to travel 10-25% of the time to customer sites

    Preferred Qualities/Nice to Have:

    • Working knowledge of O-RAN
    • Understanding of OSI 7 layer model
    • Familiar with Linux OS
    • Experience with RF power amplifiers and linearization
    • Knowledge of transceiver subsystems such as PLL circuits, mixers, and filters

    Salary Range

    Given our anticipated growth, we are open to hiring individuals with varying levels of experience to fill this role. Salary will be commensurate with job-related skills, experience and other relevant factors. The base salary range for the primary location of this role is between $120,000 and $157,000 plus stock options and benefits.
