    Join an analytics team within the Property & Casualty Claim department made up of actuarial, business intelligence and data professionals that help bring data to life through visualizations.
    You will support these groups with transition and enablement of data, reporting, and dashboards to the Google Cloud Platform. Under technical direction, you will also support the cloud transition as well as the establishment of metrics, the innovative claim data analyses and the business intelligence needs of the Claim leaders.
    In this position, you will enjoy a hybrid work schedule that consists of one day per week in our Chicago office, with the option to work the remainder of your week remotely.
    JOB DESCRIPTION:
    Essential Duties & Responsibilities
    Performs a combination of duties in accordance with departmental guidelines:

    • Build, extend, and share data visualizations that are relevant to the business to support the health of the operations.
    • Migrate dashboard to cloud native solution on Google Cloud Platform; enhance and extend existing capabilities leveraging cloud technologies.
    • Interprets data and identifies relevant analyses;
    • Monitors trends over time and provides actionable insights that support the active management of the business area.
    • Assist in the development and generation of reports and metrics to measure effectiveness of operational initiatives.
    • Assure internal and external compliance is maintained through best practices and industry standards, as well as accuracy of reporting.
    • Drive towards timely completion of projects and provide consistent updates to management on schedule and issues.
    • Leverage understanding of SQL to prepare ad hoc queries and generate data pipelines to support business operations and senior team members.
    • May participate in special projects.

    • Knowledge of financial, economic, and/or statistical practices, procedures and principles.

    • Solid knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.


    Education & Experience

    • Bachelor's Degree in Analytics, Finance, Statistics, Mathematics, Business or related field.
    • Typically up to two years of related work experience.
    • SQL knowledge/experience required.
    • Experience with Looker, Tableau or other data visualization software a plus.
