24-25 VISTA for Improving Services for Children and FamiliesWyoming Children's Trust Fund (WYCTF) leads child abuse and neglect prevention efforts through collaboration and innovation. As part of the prevention continuum, WYCTF focuses on family-centered efforts in primary and secondary prevention.
Target populations for Wyoming Children's Trust Fund programs include:
parents, individuals with disabilities, racial and ethnic minorities, members of underrepresented groups, fathers, homeless families and those at risk of homelessness, unaccompanied homeless youth, and adult former victims of child abuse and neglect or domestic violence.
The VISTA will support the launch of Family Resource Centers and create a community awareness campaign. The VISTA will help alleviate poverty by improving opportunities for families to break the cycle of abuse and neglect.The VISTA will build capacity by ensuring that services meet the needs of the community and by increasing awareness of available services.
The VISTA's efforts will result in a written program analysis, data visualization tools, and community awareness materials.This service opportunity is available without regard to race, color, national origin, gender, age, religion, sexual orientation, disability, gender identity or expression, political affiliation, marital or parental status, genetic information, or military service.
This program is available to all and specific accessibility needs will be addressed on a case-by-case scenario. Background checks will be required before service and may be repeated during service. Further help on this page can be found by clicking here.Member Duties : 1. Meet with Children's Trust Fund staff to learn about the Family Resource Center Coalition's missions and goals. 2. Research best practices for implementation in each Family Resource Center. 3.
Analyze the success of the coalition infrastructure by facilitating surveys and reviewing completed surveys from grantees, and by reviewing reports submitted by evaluators.
4. Compile and create reports for grantees and funders. 5. Track outcomes of infrastructure through key metrics. 6. Meet with grantees, evaluators, and consultants to coordinate data collection procedures. 7. Analyze assessment results and draft a report with data graphs. 8. Create a master list of available resources in each community. 9. Track and analyze outcomes of child abuse/neglect for families in Wyoming by gathering information from community surveys. 10. Create awareness materials addressing child abuse/neglect best practices. 11. Distribute awareness materials to identified communities.Program Benefits :
