Job Summary

As a Software Engineer at NetApp, your mission is to deliver top-notch NetApp software solutions. You'll play a key role in designing, defining features, developing, and testing NetApp Software Defined Storage solutions. Working within the core product development squad for Software-Defined Cloud Storage solutions, you'll collaborate with Google and Microsoft on GKE and AKS platforms. You'll team up with senior engineers, partner groups, SREs, and Product Managers to ensure both internal and external requirements are addressed.

Job Requirements

• Expertise in software design and development, with a solid grasp of complex concepts in systems architecture, data structures, and programming practices.
• Must-have knowledge of Kubernetes and preferably experience in microservices/containerization using Docker and Kubernetes.
• Hands-on experience with public Cloud providers like GCP, Azure, or AWS.
• Proficient programming skills in Go (Preferred), with consideration for Python or other languages such as C++ or C.
• Excellent collaboration and communication skills (both verbal and written).
• A strong passion for learning new technologies.
• Ability to independently lead feature development.
• Additional Skills:
• Experience in Networking and Storage domains, particularly in the Cloud, is highly valuable.
• Technical leadership experience in feature design and development, mentoring junior engineers, and a successful track record in delivering complex projects.
• Experience in engaging with stakeholders at all levels, from team members to senior management.

Education

IC - Typically requires a minimum of 8 years of relevant experience.
Mgr & Exec - Typically requires a minimum of 6 years of relevant experience.

The base salary range for this position in specified geographic locations is $153,450 - $215,270. Final compensation will be based on various factors like location, qualifications, certifications, experience, education, and other relevant business aspects, in accordance with the law. The position may also offer comprehensive benefits such as Medical, Dental, Vision, Life insurance, 401(K), Paid Time Off, sick leave, FMLA, bonuses, stock purchase plans, and/or RSUs.
