    Lead Press Operator


    FULL-TIME

    $25.25/hr

    Summary:

    • Responsible for the performance of manual and machine tasks in the setup, maintenance, and operation of die cut equipment to accurately produce product to customer specifications

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

    • The Lead Press Operator will set up and operate a die cutter with maximum uptime and quality of product and will lead and coordinate the press crew.

    • Ability to effectively communicate business issues with leadership, maintenance, and crews.

    • Able to execute processes and achieve results in safety, quality, productivity, and cost efficiency.

    • Must assure proper operation of the entire die cutting press.

    • Must be able to complete make-readies on the die stripping section, blanking sections and assure the maintenance throughout the runs.

    • Must maintain the highest possible quality levels throughout all runs including, cutting, scoring, nicking, register, etc.

    • Must be able to troubleshoot and adjust any problems that may occur during make-readies and runs.

    Requirements for the Role:

    • Basic Math skills required. Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divides whole numbers, fraction, and decimals. Able to convert fraction to decimal equivalent

    • Ability to read, write & understand basic English. Able to communicate effectively, Lead and provide direction to crew.

    • Job requires making decisions based on established guidelines regarding running or shutting down on defective work and operational problems/difficulties of all kinds.

    • Basic understanding of Machinery & processes.

    • Experience working on a web press, flexo press, or other similar machine

    WestRock in Lebanon, TN is looking for Lead Web Press Operators. We have open availability for the following shifts:

    Day: 6am-6pm

    Night: 6pm-6am

    Pay is dependent on experience: $24-28/hr + $1.25 shift differential for night shift.

    Not eligible for sponsorship.

    BNA-03 WS-03 WS-TC
    Schedule

    Shift start: 6:30PM
    Shift length: 12 hours
    12 hour; 3-3-4 night shift rotation

    Qualifications
    • Must pass drug screen
    • Must pass background check
    • Can lift 40 lbs
    • Must be at least 18+ years old
    Math Skills: ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide whole numbers, fractions, and decimals. Ability to convert fractions to decimal equivalents.
    Ability to read, write, and understand basic English. Ability to communicate effectively.
    Experience leading and providing direction to a crew
    Basic understanding of machinery and processes
