    Summary



    This position is located in the Department of Homeland Security, United States Coast Guard, Director of Operational Logistics, Base Miami Beach Procurement & Contracting Department located in Miami, FL.



    Duties


    This role of this position is to prepare and issue MIPRs and Interagency Agreements, execute purchases through the Federal Supply Schedules contracts and Coast Guard
    contracts, in support at Base San Juan.

    Being a Coast Guard civilian makes you a valuable member of the Coast Guard team. Typical work assignments include:

    • Analyzing the requirement, recommends revisions to the statement of work or specifications as necessary and decides on agency source and method of procurement.
    • Preparing all required documentation and recommends award to the supervisor and independently completes other assigned purchases.
    • Monitoring contract administration until final delivery and payments are completed and the contract is closed and retired.
    • Evaluating contractor performance through telephone conversations, correspondence, reports, and vouchers.
    • Interpreting contract provisions for contractors and for Coast Guard, and provides appropriate advice and guidance.
