    We are seeking

    Mechanical Vibration Specialist

    for our

    First Quality Tissue

    facility located in

    Anderson, SC .

    Mechanical Vibration Specialist


    are responsible for all facets of vibration maintenance for the machine and its associated process equipment including developing and maintaining computerized database as well as publishing of required reports with current machine statuses.

    Responsible for applying specialized skills in maintaining, troubleshooting, repairing, and adjusting all equipment, machinery, and components.

    Primary responsibilities include:

    • Observes all safety rules and uses the proper PPE at all times.
    • Contributes to Company and Departmental Metrics (i.e., Safety, Intelex Reporting, Training, etc.).
    • Follows necessary GMP, FDA, and ISO regulations/guidelines.
    • Maintains a clean and orderly work area.

    Vibration Technician responsibilities include:

    • Research equipment information.
    • Develop equipment routes and maintain Vibration database.
    • Complete established vibration monitoring routes.
    • Take temperature readings of pieces of equipment on route.
    • Download equipment readings into Vibration database.
    • Analyze Vibration readings and trend equipment vibration data.
    • Predict equipment failures based on trended vibration data.
    • Write work orders to pieces of equipment in need of repair.
    • Generate a monthly health status report for the equipment in area of responsibility.
    • Participate in root cause failure analysis. Help determine cause of failure.
    • Repairs all machinery, equipment and components as requested.
    • Troubleshoots and analyzes mechanical and operational problems related to job.
    • Operates hand and power tools as required.
    • Knows how to use all measuring tools, micrometers, vernier calipers, etc.
    • Assists with preventative maintenance and changeovers when requested.
    • Shares knowledge and techniques with team members and assists with training.
    • Promotes precision maintenance techniques.
    • Presents data and findings to Management as requested.
    • Completes all paperwork/reports correctly and submits in a timely fashion.
    • Follows all SOPs and demands the same of teammates.
    • Performs any other duties as necessary when directed to do so.
    • Stays compliant with required Individual Development Plan (IDP).
    • Attends all training seminars provided by the company when applicable.
    The ideal candidate will possess the following skills:


    • High school diploma/GED or an equivalent combination of education/experience required.
    • Three years of Industrial Maintenance required.
    • Technical or vocational school training relating to mechanics is preferred.
    • Proficient with FQT CMMS systems.

    Internal candidate will be required to achieve:
    a. Basic Vibration Analysis/Category I certification within one year as a condition of continued position occupancy.
    b.

    Vibration Analysis/Category II certification within three years after completion of Basic Vibration Analysis/ Category l as a condition of continued position occupancy.

    c. Must be willing to attend other non-required training to further develop proficiency in Vibration Analysis.

    • Advanced mechanical knowledge of all machinery, equipment, and components.
    • Advanced knowledge to troubleshoot, repair, maintain, and adjust equipment.
    • Standard knowledge of pneumatics and hydraulics.
    • Basic Electrical skills.
    • Excellent multiple trade skills.
    • Good analytical skills and Ability to communicate analysis results (in writing and verbally) to equipment owners and management.
    • Ability to work in a team-oriented environment.
    • Self-starter, able to perform all job responsibilities with minimal oversight.
