    The Aerojet Rocketdyne Segment of L3Harris Technologies is seeking a Principal, Business Operations (Financial) at our Missile Solutions Headquarters located in Huntsville, AL.


    The selected individual will prepare and maintain budgets, establish earnings plans, and develop estimates at completion of assigned government aerospace/defense projects.

    In this role, the individual will serve a vital function by applying earned value management, finance, and accounting skills to approve requisitions; prepare financial reporting on a major defense program; use metrics associated with management best practices and prepare reports to reflect Awards, Sales, Profit, and Cash.

    May also assist proposal teams, develop bases-of-estimate, provide actuals data, and support fact-finding/negotiations as needed.


    Essential Functions:
    Perform weekly and monthly analysis of key financial trends, including cost versus plan, labor utilization, and cash collection metrics

    Collaborate with Program Management, Program Finance teammates, and functional support leaders to communicate financial trends and formulate go-forward action plans

    Partner with Program Management and Program Finance teammates to execute baselining, Estimate to Completion (ETC), and change management processes. This includes management of the program Work Breakdown Structure (WBS) and charge codes within the L3Harris ERP system (PeopleSoft)

    Manage financial reporting parameters in the L3Harris ERP system.

    This includes tracking of program Estimated Cost at Completion (EAC) and Profit at Completion (PAC), as well as reviewing month-end results for consistency with expectations.

    Prepare monthly Program Management Review (PMR) financial charts, highlighting key financial results, trends, and outlook. Metrics include program funding profile, cost trends, risk position, and cash flow history.

    Review transaction-level cost details supporting twice-monthly Cost-Plus Award Fee

    Support completion of program EVMS reports and other standard CDRL's


    Required Qualifications:
    Requires mastery level knowledge within a specific technical area or multiple job areas. Viewed as an expert and/or resource within the field by peers in and outside the organization. Bachelor's Degree and a minimum of 12 years of prior relevant experience. Graduate Degree and a minimum of 10 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 16 years of prior related experience.

    Ability to accurately perform financial calculations used in cost/budget analysis

    Computer skills to include Microsoft Excel, Powerpoint and Word.

    Proficiency with the use of imported and/or exported data. This position requires an


    Understanding of general accounting principles and earned value management, including the ability to accurately assess cost data and forecast expenditures.

    Ability to communicate, both orally and in writing, with financial and non-financial professionals at all levels
