    Job Description:

    To wait on tables promptly, courteously and to serve the guest in any way possible.

    Responsibilities:

    Essential Functions:

    • Have full knowledge of all menus and beverage menus.
    • Have full knowledge of responsible alcohol service.
    • Have full knowledge and certification in safe food handling practices.
    • Proper setup and breakdown of area and service station.
    • Clean floors of dining room and bar area.
    • Complete restaurant set-up and breakdown/side-work.
    • Provide the highest quality guest interactions Use guest names during interactions.
    • Keep working area neat and clean.
    • Take food and beverage orders from guests.
    • Enter in orders to the computer ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
    • Prepare beverages quickly and efficiently, following written and visual standards.
    • Follow service standards and best practices at all times.
    • Demonstrate excellent teamwork with other departments and associates.
    • Perform any other duties as assigned by the restaurant manager or supervisors.
    • Shovel Ice into ice cart. Push and pull ice cart to pool locations.
    • Perform Pool sweeps to ensure cleanliness of pool deck.

    • Point of Sale System - Micros
    • Pens, Pencils and Paper, stapler, and paper clips
    • Beverage Glasses, Tray Jacks, Cocktail Trays and Large Oval Trays
    • Knives, Spatulas, Spoons and Tongs
    • Telephone and Voicemail System
    • Scrub Brushes, mops, and brooms
    • Bottle opener and wine key
    • Straws, stir sticks
    • Coffee / Tea Brewers

    Working Environment:

    • Interior of Oceanside Building
    • Exterior of Oceanside Building
    • Beach and Ocean Areas
    • Oceanside Kitchen and Server Stations
    Qualifications:

    Required Skills

    • State-issued Food Handler's Certification
    • TIPS Certification

    Physical Job Requirements (for essential functions only)

    • Able to stand for extended periods of time
    • Able to read and write English proficiently
    • Able to lift and carry 20lbs routinely, and up to 50lbs occasionally
    • Able to walk, sit, stand, squat and reach in the course of daily business
    • Able to work quickly in a high-pressure environment, keeping a calm and polite attitude
    • Able to work outdoors in extreme weather conditions
    • Able to push purchasing carts, ice carts and garbage carts for a distance
