If the answer is yes, we may have a place for you on the Emerson Additive Technologies Team,Emerson is currently seeking an Additive Manufacturing Engineer to work in our state-of-the-art facility in Marshalltown, IA. The individual selected for this position will be responsible for Powder Bed Fusion (L-PBF) technology capabilities, efficiency, and quality. This role will also involve facilitating global alignment between R&D and Production.
This position offers hybrid work arrangement, consisting of a combination of remote and onsite work.
This would include facilitating laser caustics, scan field alignment, and laser power.
Calibrations for print simulation software ensuring all materials, and parameter variables have accurate results related to stress, deformation, and print failure.
Lead quality and metrology processes and procedures. This will involve collaboration with design team members on component inspection plans and quality expectations.Create and maintain global standards for calibration, operation, and machine settings between R&D and Production to ensure global alignment and repeatability.
Engage with external committees for Additive Manufacturing Adaption.You readily action new challenges, without unnecessary planning. You are decisive and make high-quality decisions, even when based on incomplete information or in the face of uncertainty. You scan the environment for new technical skills, knowledge, or capabilities that can benefit business or personal performance.
Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering
Additive Manufacturing experience with Laser Powder Bed systems
