    Basic Job Functions:

    Nucor Steel Lexington is seeking qualified applicants for the position of Roll Mill Shift Supervisor. The teammate will report directly to the Rolling Mill Manager and be responsible for leading the production team in all aspects of safety and operations. Safety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor; therefore, the candidate must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times. This position will cultivate an atmosphere aligned with Nucor Culture that promotes ownership and drives continuous improvement. They will establish expectations and identify best practices that achieve results through empowering the team. This teammate will also be responsible for building and developing the production team as the facility is constructed and put into operation. They will serve as a resource for building talent, fostering personal development, and expanding technical knowledge. The candidate must be capable of coordinating and communicating between all departments to ensure the success of the division.

    Minimum Qualifications:

  • 2 years of experience in a leadership role.
  • 5 years of experience in an industrial setting.
  • Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bar Mill rolling experience.
  • Demonstrated success at training and developing a team.
  • Technical experience in an industrial setting.
  • Strong knowledge of industrial safety practices
