    Position Summary:
    The Accountant is


    responsible for understanding general accounting, preparing timely journal entries, account reconciliations, as well as performing inventory calculations to ensure accuracy and reasonableness.


    As a member of the Corporate Accounting Team, this individual will also provide support to plant and mill controllers and accountants related to accounting research and guidance.


    Principle Accountabilities:
    Actively participates in monthly close cycle.


    Prepares, records, analyzes and reports accounting transactions in a timely and accurate fashion to ensure the integrity of accounting records.

    Utilizes Oracle's ARCS system for balance sheet account reconciliation processing.


    Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to network and build relationships with individuals both within and outside of the company.

    Communication across varying levels of management.

    Provides support to corporate departments by meeting various reporting requests.

    Compiles accounting/key control schedules and documentation for internal and external auditors.


    Knows and follows policies and procedures of the company, shares information that would benefit other members of the team and finds ways to improve the delivery of service to our customers.

    Other duties as assigned.


    Decision Making:
    The Accountant is

    expected to work independently to resolve complex work assignments.


    Ideal candidates are highly self-motivated, professional, and capable of managing their workload and prioritizing tasks in a fast-paced corporate environment.

    Independent judgment may impact other departments and influence departmental strategic direction.

    The Accountant identifies

    and implements opportunities for process improvements.


    This role coordinates a wide variety of sensitive and confidential data and ensures requests for action or information are addressed in an efficient and timely manner.

    Accountant

    coordinates projects across multiple disciplines.

    Position Requirements

    A bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, or related field.

    Two+ years of experience in a financial job function.


    Candidate must possess intermediate computer skills and be proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint), with the ability to become familiar with company-specific programs and software.

    Positive attitude with excellent written and verbal interpersonal skills is essential.

    Able to work independently, prioritize assignments, and achieve desired results.

    Demonstrated ability to be efficient, innovative, and organized, with great attention to detail.


    Previous experience working in a team environment is preferred, with a strong understanding of the importance of open communication and information sharing among co-workers.
