    Moog Space and Defense is seeking a Mechanical Test Engineer for an entry level position within the test group in Mountain View, CA.

    Moog's legacy CSA specializes in vibration suppression and precision motion control. The company provides engineering services and builds highly engineered products for applications in systems ranging from space launch vehicles to aircraft, ground vehicles and semiconductor manufacturing equipment. The position will be a member of a team responsible for testing hardware to verify rigorous performance and survivability criteria. The position will be responsible for working side-by-side with other engineers as well as technicians in the laboratory and cleanroom.

    Essential Functions / Responsibility

    • Support hardware development, qualification, and acceptance tests, both for internal products and as services for external customers
    • Perform hands on testing of hardware
    • Document tests with formal procedures and reports
    • Create 3D models and machine drawings of custom test fixtures using Solidworks
    • Create and use custom data processing scripts in Matlab

    Qualifications / Requirements

    • Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering
    • Proficiency with Matlab
    • Knowledge of CAD Software and 3D modeling
    • Experience with creating and reading machine drawings

    Salary Range

    The base pay range for this opportunity is $67K - $100K.

Actual salaries will vary depending on many factors such as skills, experience, certifications and performance. The rate listed is just one component of Moog's total compensation package for employees.
