    Project Engineer for General Contracting Firm (ARPMAUI)#MAUI_INDEED

    Hiring a full-time Project Engineer for a general contracting firm This position will provide support to the Project Management team.

    The ideal candidate must have their associate's degree or a minimum of 5 years of construction admin experience, be able to understand construction terminology, and possess excellent communication skills.

    Full-time, Monday to Friday 7:00am-4:00pm

    Puunene, Maui

    Pay


    $30 to $45 an hour

    Responsibilities

    • Develop on-site utilization plans.
    • Track and prepare monthly payment applications.
    • Clarify invoice issues prior to submitting payment applications.
    • Maintain working relationships with clients and vendors.
    • Coordinate meetings and take meeting minutes.
    • Clarify and resolve any issues.
    • Set up and maintain project engineering files relating to subcontracts.
    • Correspond with potential clients regarding marketing efforts.
    • Coordinate subcontractor back charges and reconcile monthly.
    • Track change requests status.
    • Record and distribute package records and plans.
    • Track and maintain procedures pertaining to various duties.
    • Perform other duties as assigned.


    Qualifications

    • Associate's degree or a minimum of 5 years of construction administrative experience.
    • Proficient with general business practices.
    • Knowledgeable with construction terminology, accounting functions, and contract management.
    • Knowledgeable with construction documentation requirements, standards and procedures.
    • Familiarity using construction management software.
    • Ability to read and interpret construction plans and specifications.
    • Proficient with computers and Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
    • Strong communication (verbal, written, interpersonal) skills.
    • Strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
    • Must have a valid driver's license.
