- Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups
- Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests etc.
- Perform data entry of patient information in an accurate and timely manner
- Prepare all collected specimens for testing and analysis
- Maintain patient and specimen information logs
- Provide superior customer service to all patients Administrative and clerical duties as necessary
- Travel to additional sites when needed Job Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Phlebotomy certification from an accredited agency is preferred
- Previous experience as a phlebotomist required. At least 2-4 years' strong phlebotomy experience preferred
- Strong communication skills; both written and verbal
- Ability to work independently or in a team environment
- Comfortable working under minimal supervision
- Reliable transportation and clean driving record if applicable
- Flexibility to work overtime as needed
- Able to pass a standardized color blindness test

Job DescriptionBusy Internal Medicine practice is looking to hire phlebotomist.Hours Monday-Friday from 7:45AM- 4:15PM
Job Responsibilities:
- Perform venipuncture and collect blood specimens from patients
- Verify patient information and ensure proper labeling of specimens
- Prepare specimens for laboratory testing and maintain accurate records
- Follow established laboratory procedures and protocols
- Adhere to safety and infection control policies and guidelines
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Completion of a phlebotomy training program or certification
- Knowledge of laboratory techniques and procedures
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks
- Attention to detail and accuracy in specimen collection and labeling
- Familiarity with medical terminology and basic computer skills
