    Description
    Our client is seeking a dedicated Deskside Support Technician to join their team in Chicago, IL *This position will require a Public Trust Clearance prior to starting
    • This person will be providing essential IT services to multiple customers within the Department of Justice
    The program encompasses a wide range of IT services, including help desk, deskside support, Windows workstation engineering and maintenance, managed print services, ITSM, Active Directory services, and video conferencing

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Provide deskside support for end users as per tickets dispatched from the Service Desk.
    • Stage devices in preparation for deployment to end users.
    • Perform break/fix support for government-funded computing devices (e.g., PCs, laptops, mobile phones).
    • Deploy and retrieve end-user devices as needed.
    • Install specialty software and assist with Information Security matters.
    • Assess and diagnose issues with printers, fax machines, and multifunctional devices.
    • Provide A/V support in conference rooms and assist with Video Teleconferencing.
    • Install printer toner and maintain print devices.
    • Support after-hours activities as required by the customer


    Qualifications:


    • High School Diploma and 3+ years of IT Technical Support Experience.
    • Experience working on customer sites, preferably in a government or similar environment.
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
    • Ability to multitask and function effectively in a fast-paced environment.
    • US Citizen with the ability to acquire a Public Trust security clearance

    Qualifications:


    • Past experience with the Department of Justice or similar government agencies.
    • Bachelor's Degree in a related discipline with relevant experience in IT support roles.
    • Familiarity with the ESA V-ATR program (Antitrust Division)

    They must be independent and driven, capable of working with limited supervision
    Excellent communication skills are essential to effectively interface with customers on-site in Chicago and and staff in the main office in Washington, DC
