Job Title:

HVAC TechnicianEssential Duties and Responsibilities:

Enrollment in HVAC apprenticeship program, including schooling and paid job training-costs covered by employerRepair and perform preventive maintenance on HVAC equipment, including:Read system gauges and instruments and adjustScrew, bolt rivet, weld, and braze parts to assemble system componentsLubricate fans, motors, control units, etc.

Install wiringCut, thread, weld, and connect pipeTroubleshoot system malfunctions and discuss with users to isolate problemsUtilize a computerized maintenance management system for work ordersPrepare reports as neededKeep work area and facility clean and neatQualifications:

High school diploma or equivalentDriver's licenseBasic electrical and mechanical skillsBasic computer skills, including knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel, as well as emailAbility to read and write in English, familiarity reading blueprints and technical materials a plusCommand of basic mathematics, including fractions, percentages, ratios, and simple algebra and geometryExperience working in the trades or adjacent industries preferredFamiliarity with HVAC equipment, air compressors, plumbing systems, etc.

preferredFamiliarity with OSHA regulations, including Lock-Out/Tag-Out and HAZCOM guidelines a plusWorking Environment and Physical Demands:
