    What are the duties and responsibilities of a Floor Operations Lead?

    1. Inspecting the merchandise and/or container, making note of any OS&D and discrepancies, and immediately recording them in prescribed manner from our current procedures

    2. Data entry clerks verify information, operate data entry devices and prepare documents.

    3. Processes information from different departments and customers, and a variety of other forms of documents by resolving inconsistencies and reviewing data for errors using standard data entry procedures.

    4. Requesting further information for documents that are deemed incomplete.

    5. Operate a variety of warehouse equipment and vehicles; utilize a variety of hand tools as required; arrange for the maintenance and repair of warehouse equipment as needed.

    6. Train, provide work direction and coordinate the schedules and activities of assigned personnel; assist in training workers in computer or automated operations and filing systematically, and stocking supplies.

    7. Entering information into specific document formats received electronically or hand-written pages or figures contained in printed files.

    8. Deciphering sloppy handwriting, faded text and transforming into digital or electronic data information

    9. Double checking system information for errors or duplicate information before submitting or transmitting most especially reports being sent to our customers

    10. Access online browser based systems for online data entry.

    11. Ensure completion of data entry assignment within prescribed timeframes

    12. Scan photos, blueprints and other documents for data input into document management systems or image database.

    13. Inputting all types of data into computer programs in order to store the information for future use.

    14. Preparing cargo labels

    15. Working with ease and confidence with computers and other technology driven-processes that introduce automation of a process with the use of iPad/bar code scanner etc.

    16. Making use of scanners to capture all necessary information.

    17. Must prepare all shipping documents, which includes bills of lading and manifests by entering them into the prescribed system software

    18. Must coordinate and correspond with drivers, and be aware or knowledgeable of relevant logistical operations, including shipment set-ups, delivery instructions and estimated delivery expectations, unloading and loading requirements based on our prescribed procedures

    19. Maintain records of all outgoing and incoming shipments in a systematic method of filing

    20. Efficiently following the orders of the supervisor / manager

    21. Proposing suggestions to the supervisor/manager with regard to the data entry procedures and other related job duties that result in improved efficiency

    22. Coordinating with the transporter and other workers of the organization for smoothly receiving / shipping merchandise and/or containers.
