    Job Title: Business Intelligence Manager

    The Role:

    We're seeking an experienced BI Manager to lead our team of data experts in developing innovative analytics solutions that align with our company's IT and business strategies. As the lead architect on major data initiatives, you'll build strong partnerships with cross-functional teams to drive our analytical capabilities and deliver high-quality solutions. This hands-on role requires proven expertise in customer analytics, statistical analysis, predictive modeling, and leading a technical team. This is a hands on player coach role. You have to be comfortable being in the code with the team day in and day out. If that is not your thing then this role isn't for you.

    What You'll Do:

    Manage and mentor a team of BI professionals, fostering their growth and driving performance (70%)

    Collaborate with stakeholders, process owners, and IT teams to understand business needs for new reports

    Leverage in-depth knowledge of our Data Warehouse structures and core systems (e.g., eOasis Policy Admin)

    Transform data into insightful reports, visualizations, and presentations for management

    Design, develop, and maintain Analysis Services models, Power BI reports, and SSRS reports

    Oversee the deployment of database code, models, and reports across environments

    Conduct quality assurance testing and provide support for existing BI solutions

    Identify and troubleshoot data issues, implementing effective resolutions

    Develop clear communication materials to summarize findings and recommendations

    Create ad hoc reports and analyses to support management decision-making

    Champion the adoption of BI tools and best practices across the organization

    Assist with Data Warehouse support tickets and keep IT leadership informed on project statuses

    Supervise BI Analysts' progress on assigned report development

    Additional Responsibilities (30%):

    Support M&A activities, including system evaluations and integration planning

    Participate in cross-functional initiatives to develop solutions for our Strategic Property & Casualty business

    Take on other duties as assigned

    What You'll Bring:

    Bachelor's degree in a quantitative field (Data Analytics, Computer Science, MIS, Statistics, etc.); advanced degree preferred

    10+ years of progressive experience in business analytics;

    Proficiency in code management, Analysis Services, Power BI, SSRS, Microsoft tools; Azure DevOps is most definitely a big plus

    Deep expertise in the Microsoft Power BI platform and SSRS reporting

    Proven ability to lead and develop a technical team of 5+ professionals

    Strategic mindset, intellectual curiosity, and a focus on driving meaningful outcomes

    Advanced analytical skills and a keen eye for detail

    Extensive SQL and Microsoft SQL Server knowledge

    Experience with both SQL and Oracle Data Warehouses

    Skilled in using SQL for analysis and testing

    Ability to effectively manage multiple projects simultaneously

    Strong teamwork and coaching abilities; comfortable working with professionals at all levels

    Adept at quickly learning new applications, processes, and technologies

    Excellent collaboration and independent decision-making skills

    Exceptional verbal and written communication skills for stakeholder interactions and presentations

    Professional demeanor with the ability to build strong internal and external partnerships

    Comfortable providing feedback, performance reviews, etc.
