- Work with customers to develop and document complex electronic and electrical system requirements in accordance with customer needs and contract requirements
- Analyze and translate requirements into system architecture, hardware and software designs, interface specifications and technical performance specifications
- Test and validate to ensure system designs meet operational and functional requirements
- Monitor supplier performance to ensure system integration and compliance with requirements
- Solve problems concerning and provides other support of fielded hardware and software over the entire product lifecycle.
- Development, integration and test of weapons system avionics such as mission computers, tail actuation systems and carriage electronic systems, as well as ground-based systems such as launch systems and weapons simulators
- Develop and/or modify basic hardware and software designs based on defined requirements.
- Perform validation/verification tests to ensure system designs meet operational and functional requirements
- Resolve product integration issues and production anomalies
- Support fielded hardware and software over the entire product lifecycle
- Assist in monitoring supplier performance to ensure system integration and requirements compliance
- Research specific technology advances for potential application to weapons business needs This position is expected to be 100% onsite
- Bachelor's, Master's or Doctorate of Science degree from an accredited course of study, in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry
- Experience with avionics test and/or integration
- Experience in avionics systems development
- Experience working development program
- Experienced (Level 3): 3 or more years' related engineering work experience or an equivalent combination of education and engineering experience
- Lead (Level 4): 5 or more years' related engineering work experience or an equivalent combination of education and engineering experience
- Bachelor's degree in electrical or computer engineering is highly desired
