    Description

    Toray Advanced Composites is a leading supplier of thermoplastic and thermoset composite materials for the aerospace and industrial advanced composite industry. The thermoset composites from Toray Advanced Composites are used on satellites, radomes, unmanned aircraft, general aviation and military aircraft. Toray Advanced Composites also provides thermoset composites in high end industrial and recreational applications ranging from oil and gas to prosthetics to sporting equipment. We provide thermoset materials with epoxy, BMI, cyanate ester or high temperature polyimide resin matrices.

    The Toray Advanced Composites thermoplastic prepregs are known in the industry under the Cetex brand and are found in commercial and military aircraft ranging from structural to interior applications. Toray Advanced Composites provides both thermoplastic prepregs in unitape or fabric from in a variety of high-end thermoplastics including PEEK, PPS, PEI as well as a full line of performance thermoplastics including Nylon, PET, PC/ABS, HDPE, and PP.

    SUMMARY OF FUNCTIONS:

    Under the supervision of the lead and supervisor, the Material Handler will process shipment requests in a timely manner. This role will pull and package materials per shipping order requests. This person will prepare shipment documents by working closely with the logistic coordinator to ensure trucks or documents are ready. Additionally, this role is responsible for the shipment documents which includes bill of lading, commercial invoices, DG (dangerous goods form), and certificates of analysis. Lastly, this role is responsible for ensuring that the inventory/material is properly loaded on the trucks and meet the deadlines set in place by the organization.     MAJOR DUTIES AND REQUIREMENTS:

    • Process shipping request in a timely manner, which includes pulling and packing of materials per shipping order documentation
    • Print and prepare shipping documentation, which includes bill of lading, commercial invoices DG forms and certificates of analysis
    • Provide weights and dimensions as required
    • Unload incoming inventory/materials from trucks and move to proper locations
    • Load outbound trucks as required
    • Complete system transactions as required
    • Ensure safety and housekeeping
    • Assist warehouse and shipping personnel with day-to-day activities as needed
    • Perform other duties as assigned by Warehouse Supervisor, Lead or designee
    EXPERIENCE AND/OR EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:
    • Minimum high school diploma or equivalent
    • 1 year of experience in a warehouse environment preferred, previous experience supporting a manufacturing environment is a plus
    • Must be familiar with computer systems including MS Office and data base systems (AX or FileMaker Pro preferred)
    • Must be able to communicate clearly (written and verbally) in English
    • Excellent interpersonal, communication and organizational skills and the ability to work with all levels of the company
    • Ability to operate a pallet jack and fork lift
    • Maintain work areas in neat, orderly and safe manner
    • Must be capable of lifting up to 50 lbs.
    PAY RANGE: $25 per hour
