    Description

    Job Title: Bell Attendant

    Job Summary:

    The Bell Attendant is responsible for transporting guests to and from the hotel to local area attractions, as well as assisting guests with recommendations for restaurants and tourist activities. The Bell Attendant also supports front desk operations.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Drive guests to designated locations
    • Assist guests with luggage
    • Maintain vehicle cleanliness
    • Conduct concierge duties
    • Accommodate guests during their stay in an attentive, courteous, and efficient manner

    Requirements:

    • High School diploma or equivalent required; experience in a hotel or related field preferred
    • Valid driver's license for the applicable state
    • Acceptable MVR (Motor Vehicle Driving record)
    • Minimum of one year driving experience
    • Ability to convey information and ideas clearly
    • Ability to evaluate and select among alternative courses of action quickly and accurately
    • Ability to work well in stressful, high-pressure situations

    Additional Duties:

    • Approach all encounters with guests and employees in a friendly, service-oriented manner
    • Maintain regular attendance and comply with Aimbridge Hospitality standards
    • Maintain high standards of personal appearance and grooming
    • Comply with Aimbridge Hospitality standards and regulations to encourage safe and efficient hotel operations
    • Greet guests in a pleasant manner
    • Loading and unloading luggage carts
    • Escorting guests to rooms
    • Checking and storing luggage for arrivals and departures
    • Delivering messages to meeting rooms
    • Delivering flowers and packages to guest rooms
    • Completing room changes
    • Maintaining current listings of local and area attractions, special events, and activities
    • Maintaining lists of local transportation guides, churches, sports arenas, etc.
    • Assisting the housekeeping department with guest requests
    • Ensuring lobby reader boards are correct
    • Providing information, maps, and directions as required
    • Opening doors
    • Answering phones to assist guest service agents
    • Conducting house counts by computer
    • Showing guest rooms and suites as needed
    • Emphasizing company amenities
