The candidate must navigate the dynamic space industry, develop targeted relationship-building strategies. They will also execute tactically while managing priorities within tight timelines, ensuring accountability and maximizing business impact.
Responsibilities:
Build and maintain customer relationships across government and industry to drive strategic growth
Advocate for York's space capabilities and business model within the space ecosystem
Engage in industry day events, local activities, and customer visits
Identify high-value market, government budgets, and customer opportunities through market and competitive analysis
Provide recommendations and present business development opportunities to pursue
Provide regular updates to guide team strategy and manage the sales pipeline
Collaborate with functional leadership (e.g., CTO, LT, Contracts) to align York offerings with customer needs
Develop innovative capture strategies to secure new business; provide the team with win themes for proposals and white papers
Qualifications:
Existing contacts in US Government (Space Development Agency, IC Community, etc.) and the defense industry
Excellent business / strategic acumen and instinct
Flexible and adaptable to changing priorities and workloads
Excellent presentation and customer-facing skills
Clear verbal and written communication skills
Driven to achieve and deliver consistent high-quality results
Self-motivated and able to work using own initiative
Works well in a team environment and at all levels
Cleared to TS/SCI

York Space Systems seeks an experienced and proven professional to join our fast-growing company that is disrupting and changing the space industry. The ideal candidate for this role is a person who possesses and can build strong customer relationships, multi-tasking skills, and has excellent strategic business skills.
This role will help cultivate strategic partnerships with the National Reconnaissance Office (NRO) and other Intelligence Community (IC) stakeholders.This innovative, strategic thinker will cultivate and sustain customer relationships to shape business opportunities aligned with York's unique space capabilities and business model.
They will engage across the space industry ecosystem, including government stakeholders, leveraging customer knowledge and contacts to drive success in winning and executing space system contracts.
