    Overview
    Dartmouth Health (DH) is seeking a BC/BE General Surgeon for Alice Peck Day Memorial Hospital (APD), a critical access hospital in Lebanon, NH, which is located in the scenic, rural Upper Valley of New Hampshire. We are looking for new or experienced surgeons interested in rural practice, upper and lower endoscopy, and supporting a community. This position is part of a Community General Surgery program that includes Mt. Ascutney Hospital (MAH) in Windsor, VT, New London Hospital (NLH) in New London, NH, and Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center (DHMC) in Lebanon, NH. This program allows for collegiality among surgeons in similar positions for support and academia. This opportunity offers a competitive salary with relocation bonus, a comprehensive benefits package including retirement and dedicated CME time and funds, and supportive and experienced support staff.

    Alice Peck Day Memorial Hospital (APD), a member of the Dartmouth Health system, cares for more than 20,000 patients per year, with 1,400 inpatient discharges and 12,000 ED visits per year. Our inpatient facility is staffed by DHMC emergency physicians and hospitalists, and along with our outpatient facilities including our Multispecialty Clinic, our 450 staff members provide services in, Family Medicine, General Surgery, Geriatrics, Gynecology, Internal Medicine, Orthopedics, Pediatrics, Pain, Podiatry, Neurosurgery, Occupational Health, Radiology, Rehabilitation, Physical Therapy, Sleep Health, and Women's Care and telehealth services. It is the mission of APD to improve the health and wellbeing of our community and, the hospital is committed to the system vision of creating a sustainable health system to improve the lives of the people and communities we serve for generations to come. APD also includes a 77-bed assisted living facility (Harvest Hill) on its campus and a 66-unit independent living facility (The Woodlands), which both represent APD's commitment to serving seniors in our community.

    The Dartmouth Health system provides healthcare throughout New Hampshire and Vermont Anchored by the academic Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center in Lebanon, NH, the system includes the NCI-designated Dartmouth Cancer Center, Dartmouth Health Children's, 4 affiliated hospitals, in addition to APD, including Mount Ascutney Hospital, Cheshire Medical Center, New London Hospital, and Southern Vermont Medical Center, and 30 ambulatory clinics across the region.
