    About the Role

    Based in our new Savills Boston Studio in Back Bay neighborhood of Boston, the company is seeking a full-time Research Associate to join our commercial real estate firm, with minimum in-office attendance of three days a week. Joining as a Research Associate provides an opportunity for individuals to work in a research and data services role and gain industry experience and knowledge for a long-term career within the organization's collaborative platform. Working under the guidance of the East Research Vice President, the candidate will collect, update, analyze and present economic trends, real estate market data such as office and industrial data for the Boston market, as well as support the East research team. The successful candidate will be invited to assist in and learn all aspects of the business, but with a specific focus on market research, data, and analytics.     Specific responsibilities include:

    • Learn, track, and analyze factors including economic data impacting the local commercial real estate market
    • Provide regular updates to, and maintenance of, proprietary market information databases, including building and owner information, stacking plans, lease and sale comparables, tenants in the market, and other key data points
    • Contribute to the production of quarterly office and industrial market statistics and reports
    • Respond to all requests for data and information in a timely and accurate manner
    • Work with brokerage, consultant, marketing, and graphics teams to best position research to contribute to business development, client service efforts, and pursuit strategy
    • Participate in training activities and network and exchange best practices with peer group of Research Associates
    • Work with client-facing teams to prepare pitch and marketing materials on emerging industries and maintain ongoing reporting on key verticals
    • Develop and maintain a database of major company announcements around expansion and investment domestically and globally and incentive offers provided
    • Research and profile economic incentive programs by state
    • Interest in leveraging emerging AI tools

    Experience/Education/Qualifications:

    • BA or BS Degree in economics, business, data science or related field
    • Accomplished with Microsoft Office Suite, Internet research, and various other types of analytical and presentation software; Salesforce experience a plus
    • Strong problem-solving, analytic and data visualization skills; Tableau experience a plus
    • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills including written, verbal and presentation delivery
    • Consistently demonstrate a high level of performance and professionalism
    • Self-starter who works independently and thinks proactively and strategically
    • Ability to multi-task and meet deadlines
