    Genesis Consulting has an immediate opportunity for an experienced, forward thinking UI/UX Designer with a passion for growth and business transformation for a Federal client in the Washington, DC area. Join our team and utilize both legacy and modern, open-source technologies to develop, deliver and support applications for our clients while leveraging concepts of Lean, Agile, Kanban and SAFe.     Duties and Responsibilities:

    The Senior UI/UX Designer will design and modernize a user-friendly application(s) for easier content consumption. The designer will have experience interfacing with clients and stakeholders and will exhibit excellent communication and leadership qualities. Other duties include but may not be limited to:

    • Defines customer and user experience requirements and performance metrics for ETSNext enterprise-wide service delivery across all channels, modes and methods of service delivery.
    • Review prior user assessment and research studies. Develop plans for updating and expanding upon this research to finalize the ETSNext requirements and performance metrics.
    • Recommend appropriate metrics and methods for assessing customer satisfaction and any related performance incentives/ assessments.
    • Develop service analysis maps for distinct customer experiences and user personas, incorporating a) all stages of a customer experience inclusive of GSA PMO and future ETSNext provider services and b) services/technologies used from implementation through operational delivery phases.
    • Develops blueprints to operationalize service delivery processes to organize the people, infrastructure, processes, and technology needed to deliver a streamlined experience resulting in high customer satisfaction outcomes
    • Contributes to customer / user experience design, vendor evaluation, application and technical architectures and platforms.
    • Develop related communications material to garner leadership and stakeholder alignment and endorsement.


    RequirementsMinimum Qualifications/Experience:

    · 5+ years of experience conducting user research.

    · Experience with human- centered design and end-to-end customer/user experience projects for enterprise-wide Federal and commercial services.

    · Experience with methods including usability testing, heuristic evaluation; experience creating artifacts like research plans, moderator guides, usability testing scripts, journey maps, service blueprints, and other documentation to collect and convey research findings.

    · Knowledge of best practices for interaction design for cross-platform devices and applications.

    · Strong analytical and writing skills; the ability to synthesize findings, formulate insights, and make recommendations.

    · Great communication and presentation skills (written and verbal)

    · Experience recruiting and scheduling research participants.

    · Not required, but a plus: Experience with manual testing for Section 508 and Web Content Accessibility Guidelines 2.1 conformance.

    Minimum Education:

    · Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Graphic Design, Visual Communications or related field
