    Summary of Position:

    The Business Systems Analyst (BSA) is an integral part of project teams, helping to ensure project work products have consistently high quality and accuracy. Under supervision of the Engagement Leadership Team, the BSA gathers information to create, develop and enhance project deliverables that meet the customer's expectations. In the course of these assignments, the BSA will work to develop valuable skills in interpreting business needs and relating them to industry standards.

    Duties & Responsibilities:

    · Gathers requirements data during system and process design.

    · Documents business processes, identifies issues and alternatives and documents the agreed solutions.

    · Prepares, formats and edits project team's written deliverables and presentations.

    · Compiles workshop material and co-lead workshop discussions.

    · Performs quantitative and qualitative analysis of business systems data (i.e. estimates of cost savings and presents findings or recommendations within the project team).

    · Plans and executes system testing; facilitates resolution of test discrepancies.

    · Drafts functional design documents, use cases and test scripts.

    · Gap analysis of requirements against system capabilities.

    · Conducts research on industry practices and technology applications.

    · Liaison activities between customer groups and system developers.

    · Management and version control of project documentation.

    Knowledge & Skills:

    · Works collaboratively with business and IT teams for confirmation of test case expectations.

    · Strong problem-solving and data analysis skills.

    · Strong written and oral communication skills.

    · Knowledge of Microsoft Office products.

    · Intermediate knowledge of business process mapping software such as Visio.

    Education & Work Experience

    · 3-5 years of related experience with systems analysis, IT projects or process improvement teams.

    · Understands process and requirements definition and works closely with technical consultants, reviews and validates test plans and activities.

    · Ability to validate and excuse test scripts.

    · Should have ServiceNow integration experience (data field mapping from SNOW to IBM).

    · Prior experience with a management consulting firm, software organization or a minimum of 3 years industry experience in an IT or business operations, finance, or related function.

    · Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Management, Information Systems or related discipline

    · preferred.

    Work Authorization

    Salary and Other Compensation:

    The annual salary is between $100,000-$120,00 depending on experience level

    This position is also eligible for Cognizant's discretionary annual incentive program, based on Performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant's applicable plans.
