    Position Summary

    The Licensing Coordinator assists the Companys Risk and Legal Administration Department in the areas of licensing, compliance, and permitting. The primary focus of this position will be maintaining compliance of all required licensing/permits for the company. Additionally, this position will collaborate closely with other members of the Risk & Legal team to ensure compliance of identified risk areas associated with licensing and permitting.

    Success in this role involves using strong analytical skills, detailed licensing/compliance knowledge, as well as your knowledge to evaluate, identify, make recommendations to improve policies or procedures. You must have experience in licensing and compliance analysis.

    Essential Duties And Responsibilities

    • Obtaining and maintaining the required licenses, permits and governmental authorities which may be necessary when we open new locations.
    • Coordinating the completion, receipt, and review of license and permit applications and renewal applications
    • Ensuring compliance with applicable policies, administrative regulations, and statutes
    • Communicating with external and internal customers
    • Provide advice and counsel on application of various licensing requirements to current and proposed operations.
    • Maintaining records, compiling information, and ensuring timely submission of materials to state agencies to obtain and maintain entity and agent licenses promptly and efficiently.
    • Conducting extensive research and analysis of a variety of licensing matters
    • Keeping all corporations legal and valid in the states in which they are currently registered, including assumed name filings and maintenance.
    • Limited interaction with dealers to make sure they have the proper paperwork to sell our product.
    • Setting up, maintaining, and assisting Company Stores with the Texas State Inspection Station program.
    • Additional responsibilities include assisting the department with contract administration.
    • Responding to and/or coordinating with outside counsel to potential violations if they arise.
    • Other duties may be assigned to meet business needs. Incumbent will follow other job-related instructions and perform other job-related duties from time to time if requested by department management.

    Qualifications / Requirements

    • 3 - 5 years licensing experience (legal or contract administration a plus)
    • Bachelors degree preferred.
    • Intermediate to advanced computer skills with productivity tools including Adobe, Outlook, Word Excel, and other Microsoft applications.
    • Strong analytical, reasoning, communication, teamwork and interpersonal skills, time management, and research practice
    • Detail-oriented with capability of effectively prioritizing competing objectives and meeting accelerated deadlines.
    • Must be able to recognize and maintain confidentiality, recognize, escalate issues, and collect necessary information.
    • Must be responsible, self-reliant, articulate, organized individual with a professional manner in all written and oral communications.
    • Ability to work independently with little supervision.
    • Paralegal experience a plus
    • Ability to read and interpret legal and complex documents (preferred)
