- You will compassionately assist and position patients.
- You will start IVs for contrast injection when necessary.
- You will assess image quality and make adjustments when necessary.
- You will release customer with proper post procedure instructions.
- You will turn over and prepare room using aseptic technique between patients and clean/sterilize equipment.
- You will follow radiation safety procedures and guidelines.
- Graduate of an accredited school or college with certificate or degree in Radiology Technology
- Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
- Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) must be obtained within 18 months of employment start date
- Registered Radiographer (ARRT)
- 2-3 years MRI experience preferred
- On Call required and must have the ability to report to the facility within one hour of call back

Job Summary and QualificationsThe MRI Technologist performs routine and specialized magnetic resonance imaging and computer tomography (CT) of organs, organ systems and blood flow studies. The MRI Tech presents images and patient information/history to the Radiologist so that a comprehensive diagnostic report is available to referring physician.

Centerpoint Medical Center is a 285+ bed hospital featuring state-of-the-art equipment and technology. Our hospital offers some of the latest clinical services available to patients. We remain focused on providing compa ssionate care and top-notch customer service for our patients. We are a Level II Trauma Center with 24/7 emergency services and an accredited Chest Pain Center. Our Orthopedic Services include Total Joints and Sports Medicine. We are an accredited Cancer Program and Breast Center. We provide Women's Services, a Level III Neonatal Intensive Care Unit, and a Stroke Center. Our Outpatient Services include a Surgery Center, Advanced Wound Care Center, Pain Center, Sleep Disorder Center, Imaging, and Rehab. We are part of HCA Midwest Health, a network of hospitals in Kansas City and surrounding areas.
