    More details:

A family in Springfield is seeking an experienced, part-time nanny to care for their 3 children, ages 10 months, 5 years, and 10 years old.

The schedule is 2-3 full days per week (approximately 20-25 hours). The full week's hours hours) will be split with another nanny.

The family is flexible on how to split and arrange these hours, but once arranged, the schedule should remain consistent.

Some flexibility for additional hours is preferred.

    Duties include:
Preparing vegetarian (not vegan) meals, with the opportunity to collaborate on meal planning. Doing laundry. Tidying up after the children and organizing their belongings.

Assisting with occasional errands such as picking up groceries, dropping off dry cleaning, and putting gas in the family minivan used for transporting children.

    Additional tasks could include dishwashing.

Letting the dog in and out of the fenced backyard (pet care is not a requirement but would be appreciated).

    Ideal nanny:
This family is looking for a professional nanny who embodies warmth, kindness, and a strong sense of safety. The ideal candidate will be engaging, present, calm, patient, and an excellent communicator. Prior experience with infants and multiple children required.

The candidate should be able to establish structure within a lively household, be warm and outgoing, provide individualized attention, and enjoy playing and being playful with children.

Comfort in building relationships within the school, community environment, and family is desired. Animal lovers are preferred. A college degree or higher is a plus.

    About the children:
The 10-year-old is intellectually gifted, funny, active, hard on himself, inquisitive, and disorganized. He likes sports and learning a lot about specific topics such as Dungeons and American history. He loves classic rock. He adores animals and is passionate about protecting them.

    Extracurriculars include:
flute/piano, sports, and local baseball. He can struggle with confidence and executive function at times, and often needs reminders.
The 5-year-old is energetic, imaginative, affectionate, spirited, and loving. He likes dinosaurs, playing the piano, learning about the human body, and Battlebots. He loves art and hands-on projects. He is very sweet with his baby sister. He likes science but is not a big fan of reading.

He does well when he's kept engaged but sometimes needs redirection during meal times or when disagreeing with his brother.

After-school activities include piano, sports, art, and taekwondo.
The 10-month-old is curious, happy, cuddly, active, and observant. She loves to eat her favorite foods and hang out with her favorite people. She may have baby/toddler classes at the library or a music class here and there. She takes swim classes (huge plus if Caregivers is willing to swim with her but not required).

    About the parents and household:
Both parents are warm, energetic, loving, and humorous. Mom is organized with schedules and routines and values staying connected throughout the day. Dad is warm, engaging in conversation, and deeply involved in the children's lives.

They maintain a structured family life that focuses on connection, laughter, and sharing enjoyable meals rather than perfection and tidiness.

Disciplinary approaches emphasize calm, consistent boundaries, kindness, positive reinforcement, redirection, and age-appropriate consequences. They believe in providing steady leadership and prioritizing emotional regulation.

    Benefits:
Salary plus paid vacation days off, paid holidays off, paid sick days off, and paid personal days off.

    Position Code:
    G241SF
