- Perform various administrative duties.
- Manage applicant tracking system; coordinate interviews; communicate with applicants and candidates.
- Maintain up to date knowledge and disseminate information on company policies and benefits.
- Responsible for new hire orientation.
- Oversee background checks, drug screening and new hire paperwork.
- Assist with open enrollment process.
- Assist with employee requests for leave of absence.
- Serve as training coordinator.
- Process new L&I claims and communicate work restrictions to supervisors.
- Responsible for attendance tracking.
- Perform Payroll duties when needed.
- Assist with safety committee meetings.
- Issue FMLA leave certification and documentation paperwork to employees.
- May perform other duties as necessary or required.

General Purpose of Job:
The Human Resource Assistant will provide clerical support to the HR department and employees regarding human resources related activities, policies, processes, and procedures.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Must have knowledge of human resource systems, internet software, payroll systems, Microsoft Office suite and use of common office and computer equipment.
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team with flexibility and willingness to learn and to take initiative on a variety of tasks and projects.
Experience handling confidential business matters and information with discretion.
Ability to read and interpret policies and procedures.
Must have excellent oral and written communication skills.
Must have excellent organizational skills and strong attention to detail.
Able to handle a high volume of work in a fast-paced environment.
Must be able to work as part of a team.
Required Education/Training/Certification Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree and one to two years' related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
